All-Karachi Debate competition was organized on 15th April 2014, by the Social Bond Welfare Organization in collaboration with Pakistan Debate Council and Dept. of Computer Science & IT (FUUAST), at Federal Urdu University, on the topic “Hum Inquilabi Hain”. The Chief Guest was Prof. Aijaz Farooqui (Head Practical Centre), while Mr. Amer Ishaq (Senior News Producer ARY) and Dr. Adnan (Head, Dept. of Computer Science, FUUAST) were the Guests of Honor. The judges were Prof. Anees Zaidi (Former Principal National College), Rizwan Zaidi (RJ FM-105) and Abdullah Jamal (TV Anchor). It was presided by Dr. Zahid (Director, Evening Programs FUUAST).

The contest was conducted in University and College categories and was participated by more than 15 teams comprising of members, for and against the resolution “Hum Inquilabi Hain”. Team Trophy was won by Federal Urdu University. 1st prize in college category was won by Abu Talha (Jamia Millia Malir), 2nd prize by Talha Saleem (PNEC Nust) and 3rd by Sohail Tayyab. 1st prize in University category was won by Shehzadi Kanwal (FUUAST), 2nd prize by Asma Younus (KU) and 3rd prize by Ayesha Saleem (KU). Mr. Hassan Butt headed the team which spoke for the resolution while Mr. Soban Baig headed the team which spoke against the resolution. Shields were distributed among the winners while certificates were distributed among all participants and volunteers.

The credit for success of this event goes to all its organizers especially Pakistan Debate Council and the FUUAST team which collaborated with the Social Bond Welfare Organization. The Social Bond team would like to thank all the organizers, students, guests, collaborators and media for cooperating and helping this event become a huge success.
